Tanzania has some of the most beautiful national parks on the planet. Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s most popular and well-loved national parks, is home to over one million large mammal species. The park is also a World Heritage Site and was named the 7th wonder of the world.

Serengeti hosts the Great Migration where wildebeests and zebras migrate across the plains to find new grasslands. The Serengeti is also home to elephants, buffalo herds and giraffes. It’s also the habitat of endangered Eastern Black Rhinoceros. Tanzania is home to the world’s largest population of African elephants, which are found in the Selous Game Reserve. Ernest Hemingway described Mount Kilimanjaro as a beautiful mountain. This snow-capped cone-shaped peak will also take your breath away. This mountain, which stands at 5,895 metres above sea level, is the highest mountain in Africa and the world. The mountain is also home to every type of ecosystem, including cultivated land, rainforests, alpine desserts, and the arctic summit.

Over 1.5 million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles make their way across the grasslands of Tanzania and Kenya, in search of pasture. The most thrilling part of the trip is crossing the Mara River. Here, massive herds brave crocodiles and dangers at every turn to reach the Masai Mara.

The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is located in northern Tanzania. This fertile valley, thought to have been the result of an explosion of volcanic ash, is one of the world’s most stunning wildlife safari destinations. It has even earned the title of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. This enclosed crater created a unique ecosystem, which allows for some of the best chances to see game. The lion population is also the highest known.
