Climbing Plants that are Ideal for your Garden Fence

When it comes to choosing fencing for your garden, you want to make sure that it is practical and able to do what you want. Getting your fencing installed by a professional like this fencing Cheltenham based company www.greenfieldsltd.co.uk/services/fencing/ is your best bet, as this will mean that it is going to last longer and be more stable.

However, many people prefer greenery in the garden to the sight of a stark fence, and if you want the practicalities of a fence but would prefer it to be hidden by plants, then there are a number of plants that you can grow to give your garden a greener look.

Here are a few ideas…

English Ivy – If you want a plant that is self-sufficient, easy to care for and will be a vigorous climber, then this is the one. Ivy is also great for wildlife, providing both shelter and flowers at various times of the year. Because it is an evergreen plant, you will never be left with a dead looking plant either.

Clematis – This attractive climber is a great choice if you want a fence full of flowers in the summer months.  There are many varieties of clematis to choose from, or if you have a large area to cover and plenty of space, you could even mix several types for a large range of colourful blooms.

Honeysuckle – This pretty climber is a great choice if you want the scent of flowers to be strong. Plant it near the house to enjoy it on a summer evening!
