If you have a cool, dark room available, you can safely use it as a pantry. Choose a perforated container so that air can pass through.
If your home is too hot, opt for the refrigerator instead , placing the carrots in the drawer dedicated to vegetables .
Even the best carrots, those carefully chosen at the 0 km market directly from the farmer’s stall, can take on a bitter taste after a few days.
It is not a question (not always at least) of poor quality of the vegetable, but of the proximity of other fruit or vegetables that produce ethylene.
For juicy and sweet carrots, keep them away from tomatoes, potatoes and apples ! If your refrigerator does not allow a clear division, simply close them in a Fridge Bag !
Obviously you can keep your recipes in the freezer as usual: whether it is steamed baby carrots or washers sautéed with butter, little changes.
