Strategy Game of The Year is… The Sims 3!! …Wait What?

Yay, I'm in a strategy game!
Seriously GameSpot, what happened here? How can Empire: Total War not even be among the editorial nominees, and since when did The Sims even count as a strategy game? I never considered The Sims as being a strategy game in any shape or form, it’s got more in common with a flight simulator than it does a strategy game… sims = simulation? I’m not sure which genre of games The Sims should be in but with all the great REAL strategy games coming out on PC this year…… bad GameSpot, shame on you! If anything just give it “PC Game of The Year”, based on its sales and reviews, don’t let it steal the limelight in a genre where it doesn’t even belong. Also… Plants VS Zombies may be totally awesome, but it’s a puzzle game :-p

This is just another example of how much gamespot “wins”. Maybe sims payed them off and anyone not wanting sims as the best strategy game goes the way of that guy who reviewed kayne and lynch.
