Edmundo Landaverde Jandres gives something new to the styles of some fan favorites like Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter, Viewtiful Joe, and more great games. Each piece manages to captures the style of the original game or series, but adds a unique flavor to the mix. Edumundo brings each character alive through strong use of dynamic angles, interesting poses and expressions. His use of line and color make each piece of work stand out and work really well on their own, while still managing to fit right in with the style of the original artwork from each series. Even his sketches feel very fluid and animated with a sense of being right in the action as it’s happening, which comes as close to recreating the feeling that you’re right there in the middle of the action that a drawing could. And really, should video game art be any other way?
