Role at cyHUD
I’ve had the pleasure of designing and laying out the site (twice) and I work closely with Mike planning. I also occasionally write, but it’s not really my main role in cyHUD.
Roots
Like many 20-something gamers, my interest in gaming came from a young age and stems from games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda and of course, classic Final Fantasy. I probably spent just as many hours drawing scenes from my favorite games as I did playing them.
Gaming Today
My interest in gaming today hasn’t exactly dwindled, but my biggest criticism of the industry now is that there isn’t a lot of content that sparks my creativity and grabs my attention in quite the same way. You could argue that I’ve grown up, and that’s why I’m jaded towards games as an adult. But I feel that I’m critical because I’m interested in gaming as an art and good story telling, and I’m very critical of those aspects of a game. I tend not to play a game unless I feel it’s really got something to offer me. (Also, I’m insanely cheap and won’t spend cash on anything I won’t replay).
