Have you ever thought to yourself “Dig Dug sure would have been a blast if there weren’t any monsters!” then Miner Dig Deep is the game for you. Alright, I know that doesn’t sound like a glowing endorsement, but hear me out on this one. The object of the game is to mine minerals and precious gems from deep within the earth, and sell them to the local shop. As you make money, you can buy better mining equipment, and dig deeper into the earth to find better minerals and gems. Various obstructions such as a sheet of frozen earth will block your path, and you will have to get special items, such as a new pick, or a drill,  in order to deal with them.

This game isn’t for everyone. There are no enemies to kill, and the only perils you’ll have to overcome are things like falling rocks, and deep holes. It’s more of a relaxing experience, and that just isn’t going to appeal to everyone. I was a little surprised at just how much fun I had finding new minerals, and getting new gear so I could go deeper into the mine. At 200 Microsoft points, this game is a great value. I’ve already spent more hours than I care to admit to digging my nine deeper and deeper. Miner Dig Deep is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
