CGOTW: Duotrix

Duotrix, like it’s predecessor Duotris, is a puzzle game that requires you to play not one, but two puzzles at the same time. Blocks fall from the top and bottom of the screen, and the object is to match three blocks of the same color in order to clear them. If you let blocks pile up to the top (or bottom) of the screen, the game ends.

“But Mike!” you exclaim, “That’s nothing!! I could handle at least four puzzles at the same time!!” That may be true under normal circumstances, but Duotrix will do everything in it’s power to slow you down. Some blocks will drop with a built in bomb that will either gray out all the colors, or gray out all the colors, and speed things up.

Duotrix is available for 400 Microsoft points, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new puzzler to pass the time.
