Remake VS. Original

Back from an involuntary gaming break (caused by moving my lazy self into a new apartment) to deliver a short BFTP, featuring the classic “Monkey Island” series. After being silent since 2000 and “Escape from Monkey Island” the franchise was rebooted just last week (July 7 to be exact) as the first of five episodes titled “Tales of Monkey Island” was made available on WiiWare and PC. Even better, the remake of the timeless original classic from 1990, “The Secret of Monkey Island”, is set to hit the PC and 360 on July 15!!!!!! YES!!

The Monkey Island adventure (or misadventure…) games featuring the goofy wannabe super-pirate Gaybrush Threepwood are hailed as some of the best in the genre with great humor and player-friendly point & click gameplay. The games are a must play for anyone wishing to call him or herself a true gamer, and with the remake of the original hitting the download services there are no more excuses.
